Business models can play a critical role in disrupting markets.  We have completed extensive strategy work in evolving and launching new business models.  Here is an illustration from the travel industry.

PROBLEM: Client sought to create a new eCommerce business, and allow customers to order through its website. What should be the strategy?

OUR SOLUTION: We conceptualized an alternative model – a multi-sided marketplace that the client could operate.  To create a properly functioning marketplace, we identified digital tools that would foster transactions between vendors and customers.  To provide competitive insulation, we formulated a strategy to achieve network effects.

RESULTS: Client initiated the process to raise funds for the new venture.
